How About Them Knits

Everybody knows that knit ties are definitely no newcomer to the menswear game. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get an accurate place or time of origin, but I’m sure it had to be very long ago. This textured tie gained popularity in the 60’s and the 80’s, and it is once again one of hottest commodities in menswear for the current spring season.

Some of you may not know that knit can be worn anytime of the year.The knit tie has to be one of my favorite menswear accessories for so many reasons. First, the many different colors and patterns they come in. Just adding a little pop of color or a pattern could be the wow factor to complete your look.

I also love this tie for the many different ways designers choose to knit them. Some are closer knit than others, which gives them such a different look believe it or not. Then last but not least the superb versatility of the material. The knit tie can be worn with virtually any shirt or jacket ,which leaves the options for outfit choices endless!

For the spring I’m challenging all guys to go out and pick up one or two to play around with, to see how many looks they can create or even spruce up!
