Quality Over Quantity: A Men’s Guide To Quality Shoes

While watching Mr. Porter’s self-help videos yesterday, I came across one featuring the “shoe extraordinaire” Marc Hare. As a side note, I strongly urge every male to check out all of the videos on their Youtube channel–the presentation is incredible and the videos are a wealth of information.

Back to the subject at hand, Marc talks a little about the importance of a good shoe and how to spot one.

After watching Marc’s video segment I began wondering how the average reader of this blog would answer the following question: “Do you know how to spot a good pair of shoes?” Many will say yes, which is pretty typical. I mean, who am I to tell you if you know shoes or not right? Wrong!

Truth of the matter is more than 80% of you can only spot what I call “The Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing”, but in all reality they’re cheap as chips! Meaning the shoes look amazeballs until you wear them a few times, then they look 100 years old and begin falling apart.

Another popular “Wolf” are the “Night of Suffering” shoes. You wore them once and they never leave the closet again. Now everyone has to own a couple pairs of the shoes I just named or you have Nick Wooster hand picking your shoes.

Since we know that isn’t true you might as well take a look at this video, be inspired and possibly learn a few things.
