Sony RCA‘s new signee, UK rapper Maxsta just released his debut single “I Wanna Rock”, accompanied by a video directed by Amo Jones. You may recognize the hook from Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock‘s ’88 classic “It Takes Two,” which has been flipped heavily in the past by artists such as Gang Starr, Snoop Dogg, and Chris Brown. He is rated not just as one of the best MC’s from his age group but also as one of the best in the scene as a whole. At only 18 years old, he’s worked with some of the biggest names in the Grime scene such as Dot Rotten, Flowdan, Frisco, Ghetts, J2K, Jammer, and Wiley. Expect to hear a lot more from this East London lyricist, an album should be on the way later this year.
