Not to knock the fact that their first to albums were incredible in their own respects, but The Jet Age of Tomorrow‘s The Jellyfish Mentality is really on a whole different level. Not only did Matt Martians and Hal Williams bring their best production to this album, but SBTRKT, Midtown Pat, and Syd also brought something fresh to the tracks they worked on. Adding to the production was the great contributions from Mac Miller, Kilo Kish, Earl Sweatshirt, Casey Veggies, and everyone else who was featured on this project. If you haven’t fallen in love with The Jet Age’s music yet, there’s no doubt you will after this album. It’s safe to say that Based on a T.R.U. Story was a success, with tracks like “No Lie” and “I’m Different” being played throughout the year ever since the album was released back in August.
